On the 24th December around 10 o’clock in the morning it was quiet as it can get, not a soul in sight…. Actually, there were billions of people out and as loud as it can get. In the heart of Guangzhou it wasn’t very festive at all on Christmas eve. There were shops singing Christmas music yet they were all playing the same song, all selling Christmas crap, yet Christmas jumpers or Christmas street lights were nowhere to be seen. So I decided to venture out to Macau as I left the shopping mall a tsunami of rain struck the Tianhe area of Guangzhou. I got drenched! I was not happy! I decided that wont get me down, so I continued to make my way to the coach terminal. purchased my ticket yet a direct coach to Macau wasn’t available. so I purchased one to Zhuhai instead, which is on the border to Macau. I have to say the coach service was that brilliant its comparable to UK’s Southern rail‘s splendid service! Waited almost an hour for the coach and it never showed up. I gave up i’ll attempt Macau tomorrow by train! but it’s nice to know companies in China strive to be as good as Southern rail.
